This established and successful non
profit organization operates 4 thrift stores in a two county
area. The highly organized and energetic applicant
will manage all daily operations of 4 stores including staff
scheduling, merchandise and store display, volunteer
coordination, and truck routing/manifest. Regular
travel between the 4 stores is required. Must be able
to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.
Minimum of 3 years retail and 2 years management experience
is required. Advanced degree preferred.
Key Responsibilities include:
1) That all stores open and close on time each day.
2) That drawers are counted down each day
and deposits made
3) Maintain all staff schedules.
4) Assist and recommend to Project Manager on staff
related issues
5) Handle all customer concerns.
6) Keep all sort areas flowing.
7) Work with store staff to handle store display
and merchandising.
8) Make sure that all stores are clean,
organized, and present an appealing atmosphere for customers
and donors.
9) Maintain pick up and delivery records.
Maintain volunteer records including community service.
10) Daily supervision of staff and volunteers within
the stores.
11) Create a positive environment for staff and
volunteers.
12) Evaluate merchandise with staff for pricing and
saleability.
13) Make sure that all stores have adequate merchandise
and transfer items between stores as needed.
14) Be a representative for our organization. Be
able to express our mission and the role that stores play
within our mission.
